What is online monitoring good for?
Long-term online monitoring of bridges and buildings can massively save costs thanks to the possibility of planning maintenance, repairs and performing prioritization. It can also save human lives, the system notifies of changes in the building and thus gives space to take appropriate measures.
Monitoring is sustainable
Proper usage of monitoring systems has the potential to limit the number of re-constructions and interventions using concreting under keeping safety standards. Limiting significant repairs or construction interventions not only results in cost savings but also in a significant reduction of CO2 emissions from unrealized concrete works and other construction activities, amounting to tens to hundreds of tons of CO2 for a long-term project.
